I am honoured to have accepted the role of Director of Football at Rotorua Boys’ High School. I have a history of running football teams throughout my nearly 30 years in education, both in the UK and here in NZ. I was Director of Football at Rotorua Boys’ High School from 2006 to 2015. During this time we finished 2nd in Super 8 and 9th in New Zealand.
My vision for football is to be regularly competing in the top 4 of Super 8, and top 10 in New Zealand. To do this, we need to instill a set of values amongst ALL players who represent the school. To develop a culture of good sportsmanship but with a competitive edge.
Futsal
In 2025 we entered Year 9, 10 and 11 teams into the local Futsal league. The senior team is training under Matua Mark as they prepare for the National tournament at the end of Term 1.
Football
In 2025 we are running a year 9, year 10 and senior football academy within the school timetable. The elite team will play in the Baywide Premier league and will form part of the wider squad to compete for Super 8 and qualification for the top National Tournament. We will also play in a midweek league which we will use primarily as a training session.
Our Junior A and B teams will play in an appropriate WaiBop league on a Saturday. Our two year 9 teams will play at Puarenga Park off Te Ngae Road.
I look forward to a successful season of Football at Rotorua Boys High School in 2025!
