The Technology Faculty has had a strong and promising start to the year. Over the past few years, we have observed a growing interest among students in the trades and technology industries. This increasing demand highlights the need for continued expansion in both our staffing and the range of subjects we offer, ensuring that students have access to high-quality, industry-aligned education.

Our faculty provides a diverse selection of subjects and career pathways, catering to students with a wide range of interests and aspirations. These include:

  • Design & Visual Communication (DVC) – Developing creative problem-solving and drawing skills essential for design and architecture.

  • Digital Technology (DGT) – Equipping students with coding, software development, and IT skills relevant to the ever-evolving tech industry.

  • Food and Hospitality (FHO) – Offering practical experience in culinary skills and hospitality management.

  • Automotive (AUT) (MITO Micro-Credential Course) – Providing hands-on training and certification in vehicle maintenance and repair.

  • Engineering (ENT) – Covering fundamental skills in mechanical engineering, with a focus on real-world applications.

  • Building and Construction (BCO) – Teaching core carpentry and construction techniques, preparing students for apprenticeships and further studies.

  • Engineering Academy (ENT) (Year 13 Only) – An advanced program designed for students aiming to pursue engineering careers.

  • Building Trades Academy (BTA) (Year 12 & 13) – A full-time, immersive house-building course where students gain practical experience constructing real homes under the guidance of Licensed Building Practitioners.

As a hands-on faculty, we pride ourselves on offering practical, industry-relevant learning experiences.
