Junior Business Studies
Budding entrepreneurs our year 10s are! This semester our Business Studies classes have been busy, researching planning and implementing a range of product ideas to promote and sell on their Matariki-themed Market day. Semester one began with learning and grasping conceptual ideas around business, innovation and enterprise.
Semester two, was about the application of what the girls learn in theory and applying that knowledge into experiential learning - Market Day.
Being able to work in a team environment, developing interpersonal communication and research skills was just a few of many rich learning experiences the girls was able to demonstrate on their Market Day.
I would like to congratulate students from our business studies classes this semester for the successful completion of their Matariki Market Day Project. They demonstrated innovative thinking, offered a range of practical product ideas catering to both teachers and student body. Earning themselves great reviews on our social media pages. Almost all was able to come out of this experience with a decent profit margin. With one particular student able to establish and carry on with her ‘Chocolate BOMB’ side business.
