Scholarship application deadlines are creeping closer.

The team at MoneyHub, a personal finance website, has overhauled our comprehensive guide to school leaver university scholarships. The resource is extensively for 2021's Year 13 students: https://www.moneyhub.co.nz/scholarships-nz.html

We believe our page is the most complete Year 13 scholarship listing available. It also has extensive guidance about how to apply and maximise the chances of success.

The link is https://www.moneyhub.co.nz/scholarships-nz.html

In the next couple of weeks your school will be receiving copies of our booklet Thinking about university? A guide for students, parents and whānau.

Accompanying thisis the What to study and where? guide, which contains information on all the undergraduate degrees and majors offered at New Zealand’s eight universities to help your students and their whānau decide what to do and where to go.

Along with the website they support (www.thinkingaboutuni.nz), these guides are designed to help Year 12 and 13 students, their families and whānau when considering attending university. Universities New Zealand is the peak body for all New Zealand’s universities, and the information we provide in the guides is a ‘one-stop shop’ relating to all eight universities.

Included are 2022 semester dates, information on how and when to apply for accommodation, scholarships, and allowances—along with an idea of what to expect from university life.

All this information is also available on our website (www.thinkingaboutuni.nz), which is kept updated with all the latest information and direct links to appropriate web pages at each of the universities.

Fever FM - 96.1

Fever FM is 2021's student run radio station. They started live on air this week and this year the theme is disco so pull out your flares and that satin waistcoat and have a dance.

The Year 2 radio students run the station entirely, and we mean everything... radio advertising sale, broadcasting, programming, creating ads, production, promotions and of course, the live shows.

Not everyone who comes into the radio programme wants to be on-air, there are many awesome jobs to do behind the scenes. An army of people support the "Fletch, Vaughan and Megan's" of this world and we teach all of it. (Side note: Vaughan and Megan are ex-NZBS students !)

Fever FM is focusing solely on disco. The aim is to make you feel excited like you did in your disco days. Fever FM is a fun, light-hearted, upbeat radio station that will make you get up and groove!

The students have done a tremendous job and worked extremely hard to get the station up and running and so far the response from listeners has been amazing.

Tune in to Fever FM on 96.1 and via I Heart Radio .
