Sarah Davis —

Last night on the back field and ARENA we had 1st XV rugby team playing Taupō-nui-a-Tia College and football and three netball teams playing a visiting Australian Girls' School. It was a time to reflect and really appreciate how busy our school has been.

I really appreciate how much is done to support our girls to be able to do as much as they do.

This ten week term has been absolutely frantic. We have staged our Legally Blonde school production, qualified for the 2024 National  Kapa Haka competition with our Raukura/ Rautāwhiri team, played in weekly competitions in netball, basketball, badminton, cross country,  football, rugby and hockey. We have performed in manu korero competitions, speech competitions and the Shakespeare in Schools competition.

We post a considerable amount of content about all of these activities on our school Instagram and Facebook pages. Please make sure you 'like' these pages to see the daily updates that are posted.

It has been a difficult term to navigate, at times, with the PPTA industrial action that has interfered with the weekly running of classes. Fortunately, with the industrial action having been lifted, we hope next term will see a more continuity of lessons. We apologize for what this disruption has brought to our teaching and learning.

In the second week of term 3 (Thursday 27 July) we will be running an academic subject review day for all year levels in the PAC. Please take this opportunity to come in and talk to teachers about how your daughter's academic progress is going. Reports for all year levels are being sent out today. If you do not receive this information, please get hold of the front office.

I do hope that in the upcoming two weeks study break you all get a chance to relax, stay warm and get prepared for another upcoming term starting on Monday, 17 July 2023.
