Tēnā koutou katoa,

My name is Janaye Biddle-Kite and I am excited to be the Year 9 Dean for 2022. My role sits under pastoral care, it is my job to oversee student wellbeing and academic achievement.

We currently have 183 Year 9 students enrolled in our school. Our students are divided among eight separate learning classes, some of which are accelerated learning, diligence and enrichment classes. Each student has been placed into a whanau class and house group: Hinemoa (red), Rangiuru (green), Rukuwai (yellow), and Karenga (blue). It is my hope that by now your daughter's whanau teacher has made contact with you.

We have had an exciting start to the year and I am sure it will continue as it has started. Over the next few weeks, all Year 9 and 13 students will participate in a series of Tuakana Teina (Big Sister / Little Sister) workshops where they will develop mentoring relationships and gain a deeper understanding of our school and it’s systems.
