Visual Arts

In Visual Arts, we have some extremely interested and hard working junior students who have been working really well on pounamu painting as well as woodblock printing and carving. Ahakoa he iti he pounamu.

Fashion Technology

Congratulations to Priya Konduru who has gone above and beyond in her Level 1 NCEA “Create a Prototype” assessment. A satin two piece outfit is layered with a lace overlay and a gathered netted underskirt.

All students are encouraged to respond to assessments in Technology with their own cultural influences or personal interests. Students get to develop their own individual outcomes to address Achievement Standard criteria.

Senior Students that have completed their outfits will be going on a photo shoot to Te Puia in the new term.

Year 10 students are learning how to make a sports T-shirt. They have followed a pattern and are using challenging technical dry-cool sports fabric to construct it with. Ebony and Ellie have recently finished theirs and are now learning how to screen print. They are getting to learn how to use the digital stencil cutter.
