SCHOOL BALL 2020

Ngaire Tepania —

School Prefect Leadership Team takes charge to organise and celebrate the Ball of 2020

What a blast - such a positive way to celebrate what it means to be a part of the RGHS whanau, during the recent October School Holidays. We gathered at Te Puia with friends and teachers to be able to dance the night away.

With Covid 19 alert levels restricting gathering sizes going up and down, this made for an uncertain time as to whether we would be able to run our School Ball. A tight team was needed for quick, snappy decisions to be made as time was limited. So our Prefects took on the challenge to get things underway - which they did masterfully!

We would like to say a Huge Mihi and Thank You to Brooke Walker and Jessie Emery for allowing us to hire the extremely classy International renown Tourist Attraction, Te Puia - Te Whakaruruhau (the dining hall) was outstanding and no doubt we will be back soon.

Thank you Aneta Martin-Stone at Andy's Party Hire for your party planning advice and amazing deals.  Added to our list of Thank Yous are the team at Advocate Printing for their fabulous koha and printing of our Ball tickets. DJ James Jefford and Photography Experts from Thomas Falconer, Thank You and WOW!  We had 2 of the very best Security Wardens - Whaea Laurelle and Miss Morrison, who not only made us feel protected from the unknown but had humourous signs for us all to enjoy.

Finally we must acknowledge Pauline and Sheryl Jones at The Embroidery Company for printing our sashes at the very last minute - these perfect touches were stunning and we are very grateful.
