From the Principal....

Sarah Davis —

Welcome back to what has been a far more settled, healthy and more normal Term 2!

After the many disruptions we encountered in Term 1, it has been great to see the vast majority of our students here, on time, wearing correct uniform and ready to learn. Our staff are working extremely hard to make up ground lost from last term's disruptions. Being at school every day is crucial to us being able to achieve this.

Raukura (our combined RGHS/ RBHS Kapa Haka team) have begun their rehearsals for the National Competition at the end of next term. As back-to-back national champions, the team are setting their sights on a three-peat! Kia Kaha, kia maia, kia manawanui.

All of our winter codes are underway with their weekly competitions. Thank you to all of the staff who support these teams and the whanau who are on the sideline.

Our Big Sing group, Voci Vivaci, will be preforming at the regional 'Big Sing' competition in Tauranga in June.  During this time our girls have started rehearsals for the RBHS Production of 'In the Heights', which will be advertised soon.

I would like to remind all in our community to remember the recommended health measures to stay healthy this winter

- Stay at home if you feel unwell;

-Wash your hands regularly; and

- Wear a mask inside if possible.

Whāia te mātauranga hei oranga mō koutou.
