Sarah Davis —

Welcome to the halfway point of term 2. This term has had far more of a sense of normality than term 1, our attendance is far better than we would expect it to be. In the second half of this term we will be encouraging whānau to engage in conversations with staff to reestablish goals around learning that were set at the start of this year.

At any stage if you have concerns about the progress in any classes, please be in touch with the kura. On the 1 July we will be allowing whānau to make appointments to meet with staff, please check upcoming emails for appointment information. If you are not able to attend, please let us know and we will make contact with you. In most senior subjects, credits should be marked, moderated and loaded into KAMAR, this update was sent home last week. Please be in touch if you have not heard from us.

Congratulations to everyone who is involved with activities outside of the classroom and the teachers and support people who are behind the scene making things happen. We really do appreciate the time given to supporting our students in Kapa Haka, the arts, and sporting events.

Last Saturday the Daily Post presented an article about Te Whare Whawhau, or Hostel that will be opening in Term 4 at the Toi Ohomai campus.

If you are aware of anyone who maybe interested in Hostel accommodation, or you have whānau that are, please contact the school on  HOSTEL@RGHS.SCHOOL.NZ and we will send information out to you. We are hugely excited about this and the opportunity to have an all girls learning environment available to the wider community.
