On the last Wednesday of Term Two, 16 of our Year 9 students had an opportunity to participate in a leadership programme, called Waikato Young Leaders Day (WYLD).

Ms Tracey Dender and Mr Attila Kiss drove and supervised the students while in Hamilton, at the Waikato University. 

It was a great day listening to personal experiences of leaders from New Zealand, mixing and mingling with other schools, and finishing with an interactive workshop to explore leadership and 'myth bust' some common misconceptions around who can be a leader and what a leader must be like. 

It was great to see our students enjoy the day and represent our school and themselves with pride.
