CAREERS DEPARTMENT NEWS

Althea Oldman —

The Careers Department is located right next to the School Library and open from 10am – 3pm for students to pop in for Careers Appointments, Part-time Job Opportunities and Gateway Placements. Students are encouraged to view and take away the vast array of Tertiary promotional material available for their research into careers and training. The Careers Advisor is available for students to make an appointment to discuss their personal career pathway options and opportunities. The Gateway Co-ordinator can organise after school Industry placements for students to gain work experience.

Check out the new Situations Vacant Board at the Careers Office. There are great job opportunities going for students to apply for part-time work after school and in the holidays from a range of local business operators. A current CV will be a pre-requisite for students applying for these positions.
