Art, Sports and Cultural Awards (ASCA) Prizegiving

This prizegiving was held on Wednesday afternoon, 4 November 2020 in our Performing Arts Centre.

Creative Arts

ASCA is our very own Arts, Sports and Cultural Awards. It celebrates those students who have excelled in co-curricular areas in our school. After 3 years of service to the Arts, students receive a bronze badge, 4 years, silver and 5 years, gold. It is a privilege to be able to acknowledge the work our talented students do, not only for the school but in the wider community too.

This year’s ASCA was a special event as we celebrated and farewelled some of our amazingly talented Year 13’s. Recipients were:

Anipātene Williams - The Donovan Trophy for Outstanding Contribution to Theatre, the Zanelli Award for Senior Service to Music and the Instrumental Music Award

Bianca Maaka - The Rising Star Award for Potential in Theatre

Preshis Hignett - The Falconer Award for Potential in Music

Tapuni Mauroa - The Gina Warren Trophy for Greatest Contribution to Dance

Heaven Lee Apanui - The Dance Performer of the Year

Tomairangi Paterson-Waaka - The Actor Award for Performer of the Year, the Trask Dance Senior Potential Award and the Outstanding Commitment to the Arts Award

Congratulations to all our actors, singers, musicians and dancers and those who received bronze,silver and gold ASCA badges this year. Your talent and hard work is inspiring.
