Carolyn Katu —

Year 11 Physical Education.

Recently the Year 11 Physical Education students completed an assessment which focused on ‘taking purposeful action to assist others to participate in physical activity’. Each class had to design and create an activity to present and run with one of the Junior School classes. It was a fantastic leadership opportunity for our senior students and definitely a positive ‘tuakana-teina’ moment.

Stepping stones and Tangled - two challenges that had students working on team work, communication and problem solving to reach an outcome.

Year 12 Sport Leader

Congratulations to some of our Year 12 Sport Leader students who have been organising EOTC activities as part of their Leadership unit.

Unfortunately, rain and a public holiday have meant that we had to amend our activities, but we still managed to go out to walk up Whaka trig.

Thank you to Grace Tuakana-Hudson, Cheyanne Hirst, Kasey Taikato and Tayla Turuta for organising our trip to Mt Maunganui, then coming up with plan B for the class due to bad weather.
