Tanya Lee Parker —

The past 4 weeks have been a busy time for the Hostel students.

We had students volunteering at the Australasian Police Games by packing 3000+ bags ready for all the athletes.

From there it was Athletic Sports Day at school. Excitement was in abundance at the hostel as the girls dressed in their House colours supporting Rukuwai, Hinemoa, Rangiuru and Karenga.

We have had many girls being part of the different sports taking place at school - Ki-O-Rahi; Sevens; Waka Ama; Basketball; Rugby; Netball; Hockey; Badminton. As well, girls stepped outside their comfort zone and started their Duke of Edinburgh Award journey.

The weekends have seen the girls climb to the top of the Trig at Pohaturoa Track; go Luging at Skyline Skyrides; watch the Lakeside concert; see Pasifika and Te Arawa Matatini performers.

As we come to the end of the Term the girls have set goals for themselves on My Mahi to allow these goals to guide them forward for the start of Term 2 and onwards.

We look forward to seeing the girls continue to grow in their educational journey through life at the Hostel.
