Basketball News

Carol Holt —

Our two RGHS Students have made the NZ U17 Women’s National Basketball Team and travelled to Jordan to compete in the World qualifying tournament, 2 weeks ago.

The team has now Qualified from that tournament and are have travelled from Jordan to Debrecen, Hungry to play in the FIBA U17 World Cup Championship 2022 from the 9th to the 17th July 2022.

Both girls have represented NZ at different age groups in their basketball lives and are best friends too.

Hana and Carly have both worked extremely hard to get where they are today and have spent endless hours at various basketball gyms, in their pursuit of excellence.

We wish the girls all the luck and success on the court at the World Championship event.
