From the Principal....

Sarah Davis —

Congratulations on getting to end of a frantic Term 1. For many of us, you will have experienced first hand, the effects of Covid in the your household.  I hope that the upcoming term break, gives all of us a chance to replenish our reserves for the winter terms ahead.

There is much to look forward to in Term 2, with our winter codes well underway. It seems a long time since we have had a chance to represent the school in sport. I hope this is the year we can get in a full season of competition.

The RBHS school production has finished auditions. Congratulations to all of the cast that have been selected. We can share dates for the Kapa Haka Secondary Schools national competition, which will be held during term three 19-23 September.  Please watch the newletters for further information.

I would especially like to thank the Rautāwhiri staff this term for everything they have done to keep the school running. Many staff have covered for their colleagues without hesitation, and administration staff have covered different roles at different times. It has been a particularly taxing time. I know everyone is looking forward to a break.

The front of the school will look quite different with our long awaited building project starting in the Adminstration block. We apologise in advance for these disruptions. The project is projected to finish at the start of  August.

Me mahi tahi tātou mo te oranga o te katoa.
