PE Faculty News

Carolyn Katu —

Just a quick panui/refresher for everyone in terms of the Physical Education uniform for all students taking PE this year...

Students are expected to dress in the PE uniform for each practical class they have during the school week - this is made up of the Rotorua Girls High School PE Navy Tee & Shorts (see photo above). Non-marking sports shoes may be worn in the ARENA, all other shoes and socks must be left in the lockers.

A key part of each student's success in Physical Education is around the consistent wearing of the PE uniform. This attire allows for more mobility, greater flexibility, and encourages healthy hygiene habits; furthermore it aids in the development of being responsible.

If the PE uniform is in the wash or is unable to be located for that day, an alternative change of clothes can be brought into school for that practical class. This needs to be suitable for active movement eg. no jeans etc

Ensuring each student is changed for their practical classes also demonstrates our school values:

T - The willingness to learn

E - Engaging to Achieve

Thank you to those students who have been wearing the correct PE uniform consistently this year! Your teacher is rewarding yoru self management with TEAO points.

Ngā mihi
