There is a hint of Spring around the corner but the wet and chill of Winter is certainly still with us! At this point the Administration Block project that started in April is still not at the point of completion.

The Careers Department is located right next to the School Library and open from 10am – 3pm for students to pop in for Career Appointments, Part-time Job Opportunities and Gateway Placements.

Nurse's Update

After nominations closed seven parent representative nominations had been received which means that there are more nominations than for the five vacancies.

Term 3 is upon us – so quickly – and this means preliminary exams for seniors. Students will need to make sure they have a study plan for home revision.

On Wednesday 10th August four students and I travelled to Tauranga to compete in the Bay of Plenty Junior division two competition.

We are meeting weekly with a good attendance. We had have a session on making a card for a significant woman in theirs lives. The chat around who the girls where shooing are was very encouraging.

Year 13 Police Studies Update

Congratulations to the following students for their good attendance during Term 2 this year:

Our School has selected to participate in the ACC school-based healthy relationships programme called Mates & Dates.

The new coding club has been busy getting to know our robot Edison (or Edie for short).

Outward Bound New Zealand is a not for profit organization offering personal development courses in the outdoors for New Zealanders young and old. The courses are run from our school in Anakiwa in the Marlborough Sounds.
