Clothing Drive

RJHS —

Three students from the Senior High School; Alyssa Sayers, Ella Schaab and Nyla Ray have been looking at health and wellbeing and how they can look at ways to strengthen this in the community.

For their Puna Wananga project they are looking at clothing and textile waste and how they can support the community by altering clothes to make them giftable to children in need. They are working with 'Clothe our Kids Waikato' to run a clothing drive from Monday 31st May to Thursday 3rd June (tomorrow) in the Junior High.

If your child has any winter clothes that they have outgrown or no longer wear that are in reasonable condition, please send them into school and drop them into one of the clothing bins located outside your child's Hapu space. All contributions greatly appreciated.

Students were advised of this initiative at assembly on Monday.
