Scooter & Bike Safety
Students are responsible for personal property, including scooters and bikes, that they bring to school.
We have noticed a rise in the number of unlocked scooters going missing after school especially when the weather is bad. These scooters often appear back at school the following day but have also been found dumped in public areas near school. Our school grounds are accessible to members of the public and often scooters disappear during the school day.
All scooters and bikes must be properly locked every day - please ensure your student knows how to correctly lock their scooter or bike as we see many that have the locks looped across the handlebars so effectively unlocked.
If your student’s unlocked scooter or bike goes missing we would recommend you complete an online 105 police form to report the theft. Unfortunately we do not have the staff capacity to check security footage if the items were unlocked - we can supply the footage to the police if requested.
