Pathways

RSHS —

As part of our Pathways Education focus this Term, we have teamed up with the Year 13 Puna Wānanga learning blocks, on a Wednesday, to offer Year 13’s a range of skills and capabilities workshops and experiences over the next six weeks.

The aim of these workshops is to allow students to build their interpersonal and communication skills while working within the frameworks of 'creating new knowledge' and 'connecting with our community'.

One of the opportunities is for students to self source a day's work experience with someone outside of their immediate family or current employer. Students must complete the application form and have it signed by both their work experience host and parent. This is then returned to the Pathways office by the Friday PRIOR to going out. Students will be asked to reflect and report back on their work experience.

An overview of the Year 13 Puna Wānanga experience is available here. Attendance on Wednesday is not optional.
