The construction works on the carparks at the front of the school are now complete and Bourne Brook Rd has reopened, so we are hoping that traffic will flow more efficiently this year. Please carefully read the information below to ensure we are all working together to make the best use of the access points and bus stops.

We have a new, much wider, pedestrian and bicycle crossing and we are pleased with how much safer this will be for our students that cross Kimbrae Drive at the start and end of the day.

There are new in-lane bus stops directly at the front of the school that the Council/Public buses will now pick students up from. This is a trial for the council in conjunction with the school, so they do not currently have road markings.

For those that pick up their children in personal vehicles, there are 2 pick up and drop off zones - these are not designated to the two different schools, but should be used dependant on the direction you come into Kimbrae Drive from.

• If you access Kimbrae Drive from Bourne Brook Road, please pick your child up in the new double laned WEST drive through, which is in front of the courts at the Senior end of the school. You can then exit back out via Bourne Brooke

• If you access Kimbrae Drive from the northern end of Borman Rd (and come past Summerset Village) please pick your child up from the EAST drive through in front of the Junior end of the school.

• When using these drive throughs, please drive into the area as far as you can before stopping, rather than stopping at the entrance as it holds up more cars on the road and makes the area unsafe. Encourage your children to wait at the far end of the zone, rather than the first corner.

The car park in front of Reception and The Peak is now a dead-end (no exit carpark). There are marked 5 min car parks for parents needing to pick their children up from student services during the school day, visitor and accessibility carparks. Please do not use this carpark during normal pick up and drop off times.

Access to the parking at the west/senior end of the school can ONLY be accessed from the Bourne Brook Rd direction. There is NO RIGHT TURN into this parking and drive through.

Note that the Rototuna and Flagstaff services list Rototuna High Schools specific routes. These only operate during term time and are now accessed from directly in front of the school.

Rural Buses:

Rototuna High Schools has two rural bus routes which are set and administered by the Ministry of Education (Routes D030506 and D030507). The bus operator who is appointed by the MoE is Go Bus.
