AIMS GAMES

RJHS —

57 athletes from Years 7 and 8 represented Rototuna Junior High School across 12 different sports at this year's AIMS games.

It was the first time in 3 years the event had been held after 2 years of cancellations. The week was an awesome experience for our kids, and even the rain all day on Monday couldn’t dampen their enthusiasm. All of our athletes performed with pride, and we had some very notable results.

Cameron Wallace finished first in the Mixed Team event at BMX, Krinesh Singh obtained a silver medal in the 18 hole Stableford for Golf, Tayyibah Cajee made the semi finals of the Rock Climbing finishing 10th, and Crystal Burgess finished 15th in the Cross Country.

Our Netball team made the final of C Grade, finishing runner up, our Football boys finished 5th in the Plate Division, and our Mixed Hockey team finished 7th in B Division.

A big thank you to all helpers that made the week such a success. We couldn’t have done it without you! Plans are already underway to ensure next year’s event is even greater for the RJHS AIMS Team.
