Online Safety Survey
RSHS - March 12, 2025
Below is information about a survey for children about their online experiences, including social media and gaming. The aim is to help uncover what tamariki believe would make it a safer space. The survey is a partnership between Save the Children Fund and Netsafe, and as many responses as possible are being sought. If you could encourage your students to take part where appropriate it would be much appreciated.
The feedback will help inform resources for parents, teachers, and decision-makers, such as politicians, around supporting young people online. This survey is completely anonymous – we won’t ask for names or contact details. Answer honestly, and let’s make a difference together!

The anonymous online survey is open to all children and young people aged 5-18 and the results will be shared with parents, teachers and decision-makers to better understand how to support young people online.
