School Fun Run

Sports Team —

We will be holding the School Fun Run as a major fundraising event this year on Wednesday May 8th, 2024!

We’re doing it to raise much needed money for our sporting teams heading away to tournaments across New Zealand - these are really costly events for our children and their families, but are such an incredible experience, and we want to remove those financial barriers with your help!

About the Program

The School Fun Run is all about Fun! Your children will get to come on the day and run with their fellow classmates, friends and students... sometimes even the teachers get involved! Junior High Principal, Mel Moore, will even be on hand to be 'coloured' by the kids, if we reach our fundraising goal.

Children will have the option of taking part in just the colour run, or participate in the school cross country and elect to run through the colour run on the way!

This will be one of the most exciting days on our school’s calendar, with everyone’s participation the aim, so please make sure they attend on the day and be a part of the fun!

How Does My Child Fundraise?

You can start fundraising today! Get a head start on everyone else. Your child will come home with a pamphlet on Wednesday explaining it all in more detail (check their bag if they haven’t given it to you).

Firstly, go to schoolfunrun.co.nz and create a student profile page. Everything to do with your fundraising revolves around this page.

Students who raise just $10 will be able to choose a prize! The more they raise, the better their reward – don’t forget to check these out in the sponsorship form! We have educated students on the dangers of door knocking without adult supervision, and we encourage you to reiterate this at home. The great thing about online fundraising is that you can share the link to your child’s profile with friends and family via email, SMS and Social media.

Your class code is your child’s advisory/whānau code. It’s important to put this in, as there will be prizes on offer for the leading advisory’s/whānau group. I will also be on the lookout for our top fundraisers with spot prizes delivered along our fundraising journey!

Have a look at the prizes on offer, set your sights on one, and go for it! Share the link to friends and family, and get to that total. Once the fundraising closes, you will be able to order those prizes between May 15th and May 22nd, and they will be delivered to your child in advisory time! 


Online Fundraising

The easiest way to help your child raise money is through online fundraising, where students raise an average of $120. On top of raising more money, it’s also safer and easier than door knocking and you don’t have to worry about handling money! To start fundraising online, go to your student profile page at schoolfunrun.co.nz and share your online fundraising link.


Ordering Prizes – ALL PRIZES MUST BE ORDERED ONLINE

Please contact the school sports co-ordinator Jase Pope at sport@rhs.school.nz if this isn’t possible.

Prizes MUST be ordered between the 15th May 2024 and 22nd May 2024. Simply visit schoolfunrun.co.nz to log into your Profile Page between these dates. Then click on the ‘CLAIM YOUR PRIZE’ button and follow the prompts. If you have any questions, please contact the School Fun-Run team on 0800 377 170 and they will gladly assist!
