Last Tuesday, we hosted 8 Waikato Intermediate and Middle schools for the annual WIMS Kapa Haka Festival, the first held in person since 2019.

It was a day full of support and celebration of each other, and a mutual love of Kapa Haka.

We appreciated the support of kaumatua from mana whenua Ngati Wairere, and those from visiting schools. Our own RJHS Kapa Haka rōpū represented us with pride, and we moved by haka tautoko from whānau and from our First XV Rugby team. 

We would also particularly like to thank the RSHS students who have been tuakana to our rōpū, guiding them through the campaign, and supporting them and the event, on the day. Kia kaha te Reo Māori!
