Makuhari Japanese Visitors
We recently welcomed 19 Japanese students from Makuhari Junior High School in Japan; the exchange is organised with nine other Waikato schools by the Waikato Education Tour Adventures company.
The students have stayed with host families from our school and during their time with us have visited Rotorua, Hobbiton, Wairere Falls, Waitomo Cave and the Kiwi House as well as enjoying lots of other 'kiwi' experiences with their host families.
A huge thank you to our host families for opening their homes to the Japanese students and making them very welcome.
Six Year 8 RJHS students will travel to Japan in September as part of the exchange programme.
