Nau mai hoki mai Rototuna e te whānau,
Welcome back to Week two, Term two!
I hope you have all had a good break and feel refreshed as we move into Term 2. We have an exciting term ahead with some significant events scheduled including a Puna Wānanga showcase, whānau conferences, Matariki celebrations and the School Ball.
Alongside these opportunities to connect with you, our young people and our community, there is also the continuing focus on deep learning. To support this, we have a busy week during the week of whānau conferences running workshops and tutorials so your student can finish well. Semester 2 will begin midway through the Term (17 June) where new modules begin as well as the opportunity to choose new Puna Wānanga projects.
As parents and caregivers you will all know the wonderful things your young person is capable of. We are looking forward to sharing their successes with you as this year progresses.
Finally, you will find information showcasing recent and upcoming school activities and events, such as Pink Shirt day. There is other important information about the common assessment tasks (CAA) and the paid union meetings (PUM), both happening in the next couple of weeks, so please read on.
Until the next newsletter
Ngā manaakitanga,
