Are parents keeping up with Children’s Online Activities?

Netsafe’s latest digital parenting research shows a mismatch between children’s online activities and their parents' awareness of what they are exposed to. Encouragingly, the results do reinforce that parents are trusted sources of support and that the pre-teen age bracket is an important time to teach online safety skills.

As the challenges tamariki face vary depending on their age and what they do, it can make it hard for parents to help. Netsafe's Online Safety Parent Toolkit is a seven step digital parenting programme to help parents close the knowledge gap and start a kōrero around online safety with their tamariki. Plus, there are translated versions available.

Rural Bus Times For Upcoming Week

Confirming our rural buses for the last week of term:-

Monday 7th December - rural buses will run as normal

Tuesday 8th & Wednesday 9th December - IEM Days - No rural buses

Thursday 10th December - last day of term - early finish - normal rural runs in the morning, early pickups in the afternoon - school finishes at 12.00 pm; rural bus pickups from 12.15 pm.
