Congratulations, Maryam Falaah!

Maryam recently competed in the Waikato regional segment of Te Taura Tangata, The Rope of Unity Speech competition at the national level and she emerged victorious, clinching the speech award for the Waikato region.

It was truly electrifying to witness Maryam deliver a passionate speech, articulating profoundly significant ideas and thoughts. With her dedication to the Aotearoa community, Maryam shines as a promising politician and a young leader.

Maryam will now be advancing to represent the Waikato region in the semi-finals scheduled for 4 May in Auckland. The finals will be held on 5 May. Let's extend our congratulations to her and wish her all the best for the upcoming semi-finals.

We are delighted to congratulate Dyuti Duppati on her selection to be part of the Te Ara Tohu Pūmanawa Taiohi| Waikato Secondary Tertiary Advisory Group (WYSTAG).

What is the Te Ara Tohu Pūmanawa Taiohi (WYSTAG)? 

This is a group of Waikato youth between the age of 15-20 from diverse backgrounds to represent, contribute, serve and have a say about future (Waikato) educational pathways.

This year there are two key topics: Elevating Attendance and Engagement and Levelling Up The Future.

We look forward to her participation and are excited to see the impact this opportunity will have on her growth and development.
