RJHS Newsletter - Term 3, Issue 1

KORERO FROM FRASER

Welcome back to Term 3, everyone. I hope you all had the chance to slow down a bit at least and enjoy some whānau time in the term break. We are enjoying having everyone back and it has been a super smooth start to our new semester. Hopefully there have been some conversations already at home about the new Modules and programmes in Advisory.

In the background we are busy pulling together the achievement and progress data from Semester One and look forward to sharing this information with you all. This is a process we go through regularly and we are always looking to identify ways in which we can enhance progress for all learners.

This term we have a very busy and important programme, ‘Navigating the Journey’ (covering aspects of changes at puberty through to aspects of sexuality and sexual health) within our advisory groups. This programme is one that benefits hugely from your engagement at home too. While there is provision for students to ask questions and engage in safe discussion as part of our programme at school, sometimes students may feel more comfortable raising questions and issues at home. It may be that you also want to engage the young person or people in your house with the material covered so we want to keep you all informed about our coverage as we progress through the term. Below is an outline of the next couple of weeks so please take some time to review these topics if you can:
