KORERO FROM MIRANDA
Kia ora Rototuna e te Whānau,
It was lovely to see some of you at the information evening held last Thursday that focused on ‘Supporting Success’ for your young person. I hope we are able to have more opportunities to connect in this way as the year progresses (COVID willing!)
Next week is an important week for teachers and students at the Senior High. Many of our students' grades have been finalised for the first half of the year and course selections have been made for Semester 2 for students in Year 11 and 12.
You would have received an invitation to make a time to meet with your student’s kaiārahi | whānau advisor next week at whānau conferences. At these meetings you will be able to look at the progress your young person has made against the goals they set with you at the beginning of the year.
The whānau conferences are next week, Thursday and Friday (16th - 17th of June). Over these two days your student should only be at school to attend their conference. We want every student to have the opportunity to showcase their efforts with you to date, and to access any support they may need moving forward. If for any reason you are unable to attend, please contact your student’s kaiārahi to organise a time that works for you.
Ngā mihi,
Miranda
