Important Message About Uniforms

As the colder weather sets in, many students are looking to keep warm. Some are choosing to wear non regulation uniform items to keep warm.

From the beginning of Term 3 we are going to be working hard with students to ensure everyone is representing our school with pride by wearing the correct uniform.

We have multiple options available as part of the Senior High Uniform. Our website is being updated to clearly show items that are our official uniform. If it is not on the website, it is not part of the uniform. Students are allowed to wear any footwear that is suitable and any colour of socks they choose. The Term 2 break is a perfect opportunity to purchase warmer items if your student needs them. If you need help to purchase the correct uniform (for hardship reasons) we are able to offer support. Please get in touch with your student’s Kaihautū if this is the case.

In Term 3, if your student is wearing non-uniform items our process is:

  • Your student’s kaiarahi will pass on any names to Kaihautū
  • Kaihautū may issue your student with a temporary pass if there is a genuine need
  • Non-regulation items will be swapped out for uniform if possible. The non-uniform items will be held by the Kaihautu or SLT for the day, and can be collected to take home at the end of the day.
  • In extreme cases, contact will be made with home to bring in uniform, or students sent home to change.

We look forward to your support as we work through this process.
