KORERO FROM FRASER
I hope everyone has had a relaxing and enjoyable Easter. I am sure it is going to set us all up for an industrious and productive end to Term 1.
I just want to share a brief word about our ongoing challenges with numbers and space to keep everyone in the loop. There is plenty of other really important information in today’s eNews issue so I will keep it short.
We are now in the final stages of the design process for a significant extension to our school of around four thousand square metres of learning and resource space. Once this design is finalised (and we are nearly there) the MOE will put the Design and Build contract out for tender. With all going well our detailed design with the successful contractor will see work begin on our new buildings in early 2022. We hope to stage the build in a way that we can access parts of this space as early as possible while further building is going on.
At this stage we are still on track to have seven modular (pre-built and non-permanent) learning spaces on site at some stage next term. We are expecting to be able to use them as learning spaces from the start of Term 3
Please take some time to study the information below regarding feedback on learning and progress. Having all parents and caregivers engaging in this information can be powerful and make a real difference to learning outcomes.
