Rototuna High Schools

KORERO FROM MIRANDA

Kia ora Rototuna e te Whānau,

At the moment staff and students are working hard to complete tasks before the holidays next week. There has been some rich, connected learning happening supported by the integration of achievement standards. One example is the learning experience students have had in Auaha/Toirau with an integrated approach in Media Studies and Product Design. This was supported by combining two NCEA standards that allowed students to explore their interests, passions and connections to other subjects in their wānanga. You can see from the examples below that some great work has been produced.

As the term draws to a close we have been celebrating our students’ successes. Students were nominated by their whānau teachers and recognised in Iwi celebrations. Students were acknowledged for their sporting achievements (both school-based and nationally), academic excellence (including endorsed certificates), and positive contributions to our school and our community. Well done to all our wonderful students.

Over the holidays, keep safe and have a fabulous break

Ngā mihi,

Miranda
