KORERO FROM MIRANDA

Kia ora Rototuna e te Whānau,

Welcome back to Week 2 of our final term for the year. I am grateful that spring is in the air, we have longer days, and that we have this time to make sure we finish the academic year well. As we prepare for exams and complete the work that is due, remind your young person that they owe it to themselves to put in the effort to do their best. This time of year can be a stressful time. Collectively, we are working across Whānau and Wānanga Ako to support these efforts so your student can finish well.

An important aspect of this term involves celebrating with you and your young person when they reach or surpass their goals for this year. Many of our students have excelled by deepening their academic knowledge and understanding by demonstrating their abilities to think critically, creatively and in caring ways. Many students have taken the opportunity to expand their horizons and make connections within and beyond school. We are looking forward to celebrating these successes with you and seeing you soon at Whānau conferences. Please read on to find out more.
