Hamilton City Council Message re: New Road Layout
The Hamilton City Council would like to pass on that the new safety improvements on the Thomas/Hukanui/Horsham roundabout are complete, including raised crossing platforms which makes the roundabout a lot safer for cyclists and pedestrians.
Please ensure that all children that use this area do not assume that cars will stop for them. We must always stop, look and check before stepping out and before crossing any road across the city including if you are on a pedestrian crossing.
From a school perspective, this is great advice and a timely reminder for all students in all areas when getting to and from school. It would be appreciated if these messages were reinforced at home as well.
