Music Mentoring

Joel Shadbolt from Kiwi band L.A.B. was onsite at school on Thurs/Fri last week, mentoring and collaborating with talented RHS music students in a 2-day workshop. The students have been honing their songwriting and performance, and the workshop has ended with numerous recordings of original music by our very own stars-in-the-making. We are aiming to release an RHS 'EP' of their music.

Joel was so impressed by the depth of the students' talent, plus the fantastic music and recording suites here at our kura. He strongly encouraged the students to make the most of their opportunities here, and stressed to them how lucky we are to have such incredible facilities onsite.Huge and sincere thanks to Joel Shadbolt for his time and expertise, and many thanks to our wonderful teachers Brendon Rickard, Neill Grant and Andrew Gould for bringing this opportunity to our school.
