Year 10 Transition
Last week we welcomed the Year 10’s from the Junior High for three days of transition into the Senior High.
We began with welcoming the students across from the Junior school with waiata and korero in Te Awanui (the Senior High cafe) and an introduction to all of the staff.
Some wonderful activities happened with a highlight being a local tour of significant locations for our kura. Students enjoyed the whanaungatanga activities to get to know their new whānau and kaiarahi (Advisor).
They also got to learn about Pathways, Wānanga Ako including NCEA and what to expect in subject learning as well as what to expect with Puna Wānanga learning on a Wednesday.
