A Message From Our Maths Team

It is important that Year 9 and 10 students are bringing a calculator and ruler to school everyday to support their maths module learning, but also the learning involved in preparation for the Numeracy Corequisite. One of the biggest barriers to success in Numeracy is the lack of calculators and rulers.

This year we have introduced the Walker Maths books for Year 10 students as we believe they are the most effective workbooks that align with the Year 10 curriculum. The format and style of questions are engaging and useful for both work in class and as practice for homework. Teachers may assign up to 5 pages of these books a week to be completed. Our expectation for Years 7, 8 and 9 remain at 2 pages minimum per week from Dragon maths or NuLake workbooks.
