Team 5 Mathability Day

The Raroan —

Wait; math turned into a fun fairground! What was going on?

Students of Room 21 and 22 have been learning about experimental and theoretical probability. To showcase their learning, fairground games were developed using the design process. Over the course of a few weeks, ideas were planned, prototyped, adapted, re-designed and tested again to ensure the game would succeed as a fairground game. There were many different types of games from Slime Dunking to Balloon Bobbing.

Last week, Team 5 gathered to play these fairground games. The day of the Mathability Fair was a flurry of excitement. People rushing around, adding finishing touches to their games and hoping that they would attract the most customers and collect the most tickets. Would the games be a success?

Overall, our Mathability Day was a learning experience for all the students, and fun for the teachers too!
