The Rāroan —

Kia ora e te whānau,

As Term 1 concludes, we can reflect on how lucky we have been to get through this term without major disruptions; keeping learning programmes going whilst supporting those students that have had periods of time at home.

We end a fantastic term that has seen some significant accomplishments, particularly with our year 7 students, who have settled in so well. We are also pleased to see that our year 8s are stepping up as young leaders in their classrooms and across the school.

Sadly, next week we farewell Matt Tilley. This is going to be an emotional time for many. Rāroa has been extremely fortunate to have Matt at Rāroa. His contributions have been significant and he will be missed. We wish him all the best in his new role as Principal at Titahi Bay Primary School and it brings us joy that he will continue to inspire tamariki.

As this is the last Rāroan for the term. I would like to wish everyone a happy holiday and thank you all for a wonderful start to the year.

My article photo features Anjali P, Ben G, Ella C, Lyla D, Amelie N. looking great in their new hoodies. Thank you for wearing the school hoodie with pride!

Ngā mihi nui,

Stephen Eames
