Lost Property

The Raroan —

Please label all items of personal property your child will bring to school, clearly with your child’s full name.

While it is inevitable that items of clothing may be lost, the task of ensuring that they are returned is made easier if the items are clearly named. With over 670 students in the school a first name or initials only on an item is inadequate. The use of vivid and /or biro are not good for labelling as these wash out with constant washing. Local shops do have a labelling device or pens for the clear labelling of clothing and items. This will make returning items easier Should your child lose an item, please remind them that they can look in the lost property box in the Block 2 foyer. You are welcome to check lost property when you are visiting Raroa. Space does not allow for the storage of items term to term. That means that at the end of each term all items are sent to a local Op Shop. If your child loses or misplaces their cell-phone, wallet or other valuable, item excluding clothing, they should check at the School Office. Please make sure all items are clearly labelled for the overnight camp.

There is a lockable cupboard in every classroom. Students should ask the teacher to lock any valuables during the day and not leave these in their bags.
