During that time she has been a classroom teacher, a team leader and then has moved into the area of teaching gifted and talented students for the past nine years. Vicky is a strong advocate for gifted children and works long hours developing and delivering programmes in their support. She has always shown great enthusiasm and empathy for the students at Raroa. Vicky has also been a strong advocate for science and guiding students to receive outstanding awards at the Victoria University science fair as well encouraging more girls in this area.

He has given much to the school with his passion for healthy, fit students building the sports ethos of the school and helping to fill the trophy cabinet. He has led the boy's cricket team to the Nationals several times. In recent years Shane has lead literacy across the school and supported teachers to develop their literacy programmes.

She is a very caring and innovative teacher and has contributed greatly to the development of the Raroa curriculum. We hope to see her back relieving at Raroa next year.
