For inquiry this term, Room 4 looked at how we can help others to understand and appreciate diversity in our community. Laura, Taylor, Talia, Sophia and Ella have chosen to help the Soup Kitchen.

 During DPE, we created blankets that are waterproof on one side, and have polar fleece on the other. We looked at different ways to carry the blankets, and decided to add handles, to be used to carry or wear as a backpack. There is also a strip of velcro to hold it together, and there is extra space to carry something inside.

Throughout the term, we organised a can drive, and spent this week collecting cans for the Soup Kitchen. Sophie, who spoke to us last term, came to pick them up. We surprised her by donating the blankets to the Soup Kitchen. Overall we collected 210 cans!

We are all very proud of our efforts, and are glad that we made a difference.
