Welcome back to a new school year. The first year of a new decade and the third decade of the 21st Century. Does anyone remember Y2K!!

It was wonderful to invite all our new students and their families and our new staff members at our powhiri on Tuesday morning. The first day of the school year is one of my favourite days as we welcome everyone. All the excited students and staff happy to see each other again, meet up with old and new friends and feel the excitement of a new year. Of course there are also some nerves but by the end of the first week most of these have gone.

This newsletter, along with the first team newsletter, has a lot of information so it would be a good idea to bookmark them for future reference. 

You are also very welcome to phone or email the classroom teacher or school for any clarification or with any questions. 

We value our relationships with the families of our students and quick communication of any worries or questions is the best.

I look forward to meeting many of you throughout the year.
