It's that term, the one where we have to get back the library books from our Year 8's but try to make sure our Year 7's keep reading as much as they can.

Either way, we would like our students to return all their overdue library books. If your child has overdue books, they will have received an automated email from our library management system telling them which books they need to return. Please encourage them to read these emails and return their books.

From Week 4 we will be sending out class lists of overdue books to the teachers every week, so these books can be returned or renewed.

From Week 7, Year 8's and any students not returning to Rāroa in 2024 will no longer be able to issue books from the Rāroa library, so they can use the remaining time to find their books and return them to the library.

Year 7's returning to Rāroa next year can continue to get books issued all year and take books home for the summer holidays. They will be offered a chance to participate in the Summer Reading offer (books curated for them) closer to the end of the term.
