On Wednesday, the Raroa Rubies and Raroa Eagles competed at the WRISSA netball tournament. It was a fantastic day and the netballers showed impressive energy, sportsmanship, respect and positivity!

The Rubies were undefeated in the tournament, winning 4 of the pool games and drawing one against Fergusson. They supported each other on the court and showed some fantastic team spirit! What amazing progress all of the players have made across the season.

The Eagles arrived to the ASB Centre really pumped and ready for some tough competition! They showed great initiative warming themselves up and giving each other tips and advice for their challenging first game against Hutt Intermediate. The girls showed great persistence throughout this game and it was an unfortunate loss. They kept up a fight until the end of the competition, securing 7th place in the tournament. We saw some great netball skills that the Eagles will be taking up to AIMs Games later this term!
