General Information
We would recommend suggesting to students that they download the Metlink App to their phones.

They can also set the routes they catch as favourites so they will get automatic updates if there are any issues with their routes.

It is important for parents to have a plan B in case of emergencies. Sometimes things happen beyond our control and students will need to find alternative ways to travel.

On Bus Behaviour

We ask for your help with providing a safe service for all students by ensuring students behave appropriately while on the bus.

Drivers can get it wrong sometimes as well. We ask that if you have any issues with drivers that you call our contact centre on 0800 801 700.

All Metlink buses are used both on school routes and public routes. We ask that students please keep our buses clean and tidy, and please take any food or litter with them when they leave the vehicle.

Drivers have an important role to play in safely transporting students to school and home again. We ask that students do their best to not distract drivers whilst they ride the bus, and refrain from pressing the stop button unless they actually mean to get off the bus.

Vaping on buses has become a real issue in the past year. We ask please that you remind students vaping is not permitted on any bus.
